Finding Effective Bone Supplements
When my parents hit their mid-60s, they both began to suffer from significant bone and joint deterioration. As soon as I heard of their medical condition, I immediately began conducting research and consulting physicians in order to find the best way to combat the debilitation. It turns out that there are literally dozens of natural supplements that promote joint and bone health.
Over the course of a few months, my parents tried several supplements with varying results. One of the most effective was their hyaluronic acid supplement. With consistent use of the supplements and several changes to their diet and lifestyle, both of my parents have seen a marked improvement in their mobility and a reduction in pain.
MSM Supplements
There is a litany of medications on the market today advertised to promote bone health, and one of the newest supplements to garner attention is MSM. MSM stands for Methylsulfonylmethane, which is an organosulfur compound. The chemical occurs naturally in some foods, but today it is MSM supplement options are being touted by various sources.

Keeping Joints in Peak Condition
I don’t let my age slow me down. I try to take care of my body by being physically active. I was even recently in a marathon that featuring kids half of my age. And I was able to finish ahead of most of those college kids. My secret is that I don’t smoke and I watch what I eat. No fast food for me! I load up on calories from healthy sources such as fish, vegetables, and fruits.
I do get to feel my age once in a while, it is mostly due to my arthritis. It is inevitable as my parents both suffered from it. But my arthritis is not as bad as theirs. I simply take some of my joint health supplement and I immediately get joint pain relief. I realize that it takes prolonged use to have the full effect, but just the act of taking the supplement acts like a placebo, and I experience immediate relief.
Possible Osteoarthritis Treatment Options
Degenerative joint disease, otherwise referred to as osteoarthritis, occurs as some people age and their joints wear down. Most often, the disorder will affect such critical joints as the knees, neck, hands and hips. The disease gets worse over time, and there is no definitive cure as of yet. But that doesn’t mean sufferers should give up hope and resign themselves to a life of pain.
Treatment options are available, especially in the form of a glucosamine supplement. Glucosamine is similar in many respects to glycosaminoglycans, a primary component of cartilage. The theory behind this treatment is that glucosamine can work to replace cartilage as it deteriorates, in effect preventing degeneration over time.
Coping with Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis is a potentially debilitating condition in which the lining of the joints are stricken with inflammation. Symptoms include aching and throbbing of the joints, and if left untreated deformity may eventually result. However, given the appropriate treatment options, it’s possible to live a healthy, fulfilling life with arthritis.
Stretching and rotating the joints through their entire pain-free range of motion once every day will keep your symptoms at bay. Don’t overdo it; just make sure that you’re staying active and systematically checking your range of motion. You might consider taking some joint supplements as well. Reserve the use of your weakest joints for the times when you absolutely must use them.
